  2. Gee, what an interesting question.  Maybe you were absent that day in school when the teacher mentioned this, but the Moon is smaller than the Earth.

  3. The Moon is smaller than the Earth. The Moon is approximately one-quarter the size of the Earth, in terms of its equatorial diameter.

  4. the earth is larger than the moon.

    the earth's diameter is 12756.1 km

    the moon's diameter is 3475 km

    (both measured at the equator)

  5. man your stupid!!!

    duh its smaller

  6. Earth's radius is 6,371 km and

    Moon's radius is 1,737 km (0.272 Earths)

    surface area of a sphere is calculated by the formula A = 4*pi*r^2  and volume= 4/3*pi*r^3

    so Earth's volume is 49.3 times bigger than Moon's

    and Earth's surface area is 13.4 times bigger than Moon's

  7. much smaller..

  8. The moon is smaller than the earth.

    The earth = 12,756 km

    The moon=3476 km

    Difference=9280km
