  1. nah.

if you want the newsletter, then just set up a bunch of fake email accounts and user names and get like a million different 30 day free trials.

  2. Motley Fool is not a bad service to sign up for actually. The service they offer is around $150 for a 1 year subscription, and broken down, is roughly $13 per month. That is not actually a bad price to pay. They do a lot of the research for you, but ultimately you will have to decide if it will fit into your portfolio.

I would suggest signing up for their 30-day trial offer first before committing to the service. You may or may not like their services because it is a STOCK advisory service, which generally entails longer-term plays. If that is your cup of tea, then it may be something to consider.

If you are a trader (and I do not mean day trader), looking to place trades on a more frequent basis, options services may be the way to go as they generally have a holding period of 3-6 months.

  3. I'm not a member @ motley fool, but I can say that I got a year's worth of membership at Morningstar a few week's ago for $75. They were running a special because normally it costs around $15 a month.
