  1. NCEA IS g*y!!!! they need to make it harder... but it is a study guide work book yay... probably worth buying

all the best for your end of year exams, may you get many excellences

  2. I'd say it'd be both. Most schools use the Nulake text books that have notes and exercises in them.

NCEA isn't easy (to the answer above). It's designed to help all students and it's designed to be achievable. I think there are a few things that could be altered but it's a good system.

  3. It's both, in that it gives you all you need to know to prepare for the NCEA Math exams plus some more information, and it also provides some questions that you can test yourself on.

The questions are good, because they tell you what is expected at each level. (Eg to get an Achieved, Merit, Excellence.)

I personally think the books are great. I was very lucky to be taught by Rory Barrett during my last year at college, he really knows his stuff!  And considering, he's been writing these maths books for (literally) years now, so you really can't go wrong if you study out of these books.

We were lucky that we didn't have to buy the books, because Rory himself taught at our school lol. But in saying that, the books aren't expensive either.

Yes, the NCEA system isn't the best, but thats the same story for every other qualifications systems.
