  1. i say let them go............do you really want someone playing for your team that doesnt really want to be there? coz i dont want any half hearted efforts!

another reason its good is we see fresh faces all the time, so its not as boring as say cricket, were its the same players playing for there contry year in year out!

rugby league has great development programs in place, the sport unearths great talant every year!

i dont see a problem at all!

  2. Professional players look at their opportunities for making money with careers that span on average about 10 years.  The need to provide for those post football retirement years when the injuries crank in.  Yes they will leave for the bucks.  They just can't get the sort of money that is on the table for either Super League or French or English Union.  Players are looking at lifestyle as well.  Doesn't make it a hard choice really.

Bans won't work in the long run it will force players out earlier and there will be no prospect of them coming back.

  3. No

    PLAYERS LEAVE

    PLAYERS COME

    Its a Cycle

    see how it works

  4. Its only a matter of time before we get a permanent solution, then we can keep all our players + buy a few good wingers that can catch FROM THE afl

  5. yes, i heard that Willie Mason has been bought by an English club.

He will be a Barmaid & House-girl  at the club, apparently, the members are sick of the skinny ones, and wanted a Big,Buxom Lass, and Willie got the nod.

  6. players leaving to play in super league for 3 reasons

    1. are intrested in living in england its like a big holiday

    2. the money

3.its less intense, thats why most people go there at the end of their careers

i dont see this changing either because the nrl isnt getting much money from any where

mark gasnier is not just going for more money like everyone says the club was disloyal and didnt pay him money that they promised to him,

  7. Yes. it needs to be stopped now and a short ban (not a full ban but a restriction on how many can come to aust and play every year) on these islanders playing the game, they r taking over its an australian sport lets try keep it this way and try and keep the players in australia. the top 5 try scorers for English Super League

    Trys

    19      Ade Gardner

    19      Scott Donald

    14      Clint Greenshields

    12      Craig Hall

    12      Chris Hicks

3 of the 5are all australian y wouldnt u play in england if u dominate like this.

  8. Sure is england should be for people over 30 so the young and mid aged people stay in the greatest country in the world with the best sport ever RUGBY LEAGUE

  9. In the future when rugby union absorbs the league competitions it won't matter as much. Rugby seems to have the money, growing support and is a real worldwide game. League invent a world cup but it really is only a tri-nation series.

  10. i doubt it. for every player that leaves there is a new talent being found. no trouble if they want the $$$$ let them go. no lose for the nrl.

  11. Trouble. yes. Serious. no as someone above me already said one person goes and another rookie comes through almost as good and as exciting to watch. Take the 3 youngsters at the panthers Coote, Graham and Jennings. Very food players who are eligible to the Under 20s still.

I think the NRL should actually look to actually make the competition a national comp tho. I meant QLD NSW VIC and NZ aint really national. I no there has been an attempt in the past and it failed, however i think people would have learnt from their mistakes and would get it right this time.

Lastly something must be done about the third party payment rule. I think the Salary cap is quite fair as if it was not in place than the broncos would have the Aussie team playing for their reserve team. thats how rich they are and i would ove that being a broncs fan. On the other hand i just love watchin tight matches along with everyone else.

If a players if offered some extra green from personal sponsorship that that should be allowed. Its less money the NRL has to worry about on keeping star players. In the long run the NRL and australian rugby league i think will always be a strong and exciting comp

  12. let them go we have enough good young talant
