I got letters and e-mails that I was placed on the National Dean's list last year. But I did not want to buy the book or any other memerobilia that they offered on their website. Has anyone had any experience with this organization to tell me they are legitamate or not?

  1. They are legitimate but they are trying to make money off of peoples egos

  2. It's a scam. I got this same offer when I was in high school. I didn't buy the book or anything, but let them still add my name which was free. When I went to apply for college, I forgot to mention it on my application and still got in. So don't waste your money. Honestly how many times do you think you would look at your own name in a giant book anyways? 2 times max?

  3. I suspect that they aren't legitamate. Back in 2005 I too recieved a similar letter and offer from this organization. My mom wanted me to have the book as a graduation gift, so she sent them a check, and I hve yet to recieve the book, nor have I ever seen one.

The next year, when I finished my first year of grad school, I recieved another letter and offer, so I went online and checked them out, so they  seem legit but they aren't.

  4. Fake.  It's only legit if you get an official letter from YOUR school and it's signed by the administration.
