  1. No.

  2. Good God I hope not. I've never like the DH. Still hate it after 35 years!

coyote - the gap in league payrolls can be summed up in seven words - New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. Theo trying to stay on The Boss' coattails in spending. my Dodgers are no better, but more AL teams are playing "Keeping Up With The Yankees" than NL

  3. No.  Too much money. There are not enough owners willing to spend money more money so they probably will not agree on doing it either.

    2007

AL payroll averaged 93 million to NL 74 million.  This doesn't include the luxery tax.  The DH can not explain the 19 million dollar gap, however, the difference in payroll without the DH can't be ignored either.

  4. Not likely soon.

  5. No, never. Baseball is built on tradition and the NL has never and will never have a DH. This is the major difference between the two leagues. The DH rule makes the game exciting during the world series and inter-league play.

  6. No I doubt it. It does make the world series more interesting though. AL managers actually have to manage when there is no DH and NL managers have to figure a way to get power from a bench player who is usually more skilled defensively. I think it is a dis-advantage to the NL in the Series though.

  7. No, and the AL will never get rid off it.

  8. I hope not.  The stupid DH rule needs to be eliminated completely
