  1. Haha.  Funny, I just got one today too and was googling about it.  I ended up finding this.

Your second thought involving PSATs may but somewhat true.  I know a few other kids who got it.  All of them had decent PSAT scores.

I am still curious and am wondering if it is worth the money. :/

I did end up find this, though:

"The NYLF obtains its targeted names from a check box on exams such as SAT, PSAT and ACT by the tester to obtain education materials. Federal, state and local laws may prohibit a teacher from nominating your student without your consent. Check with the the NYLF and ask how your information was obtained. If your information was released to this organization without your consent, please consult with local authorities for possible legal implications and ramifications."

  2. i dont think its so special because i only got a 138 on my psat and i just got it today, im not sure so i decided to google it and i ended up here. it says that nations top 1 percent get to come.

    im nations top 1 percent. i don't know i can't believe it.

  3. i got it today too and am googling it to check it out,

hey you said your psat score was 138? did you take the act and do really good on that? or have really good grades or hard classes or something??

idk the letter made it sound like it was super exclusive and such a high honor but like a million people went on this yahoo anwers and said that theyre grades werent amazing but they were invited (but that was for a different session that got sent out like a month ago if it matters at all...)

how good of students are you guys that are getting invited? I want to see what kinds of kids are getting the letter bc im curious if this thing is as selective as it sounds.

i got a 30 on ACT, 198 on PSAT, have a 3.9, and took honors math, science and english freshman and sophomore year, and am taking AP bio, AP language, H anatomy, H pre-calc this year
