Is the Nick Bollettieri tennis academy really worth the money?

I made the JV tennis team in school this year and I really want to get on varsity. I want to greatly improve my tennis skills and I'm willing to do as rigorous of a work out as needed. But I'm not the best player, but I'm pretty good. Is it really worth it for me to go?

even though i have never been there, i can definitely say by the looks of it, it is worth the money. The academy has produced world class tennis players from sharapova, agassi, the william sisters, sampras and seles, just to name a few.

do you mean go for summer?  i went there for 3 weeks during summer of 06.  and even though its expensive, its really worth it.  i was a horrible player when i went in (my first match i lost 60 60).  by the end i was winning all my matches.  they also have teaching techniques that other places dont have like videos and stuff.  anyways, its worth the money,  trust me.  youll definately make the varsity.

My kid went there. You will work your butt off and improve for sure -- the instruction and facility are awesome. Dorms need improvement however (unless they've recently been redone). You have to really want to play tennis because it is hot and tennis is all you will do early morning to late afternoon aside from some evening movie and mall trips. Go for it.
