Is the Nikon Coolpix a good camera?

Nikon and cannon are the best manufactures of cameras. The quality of the image is unbeatable. I prefer the Nikon S models than the L modes of coolpix but the P models are better but bigger the P80 has optical zoom of 18x pretty amazing for a point and shot.

Which one?  There are a ton of models and even just several lines under the "Coolpix" label.

I've had two different ones over the years so far, and they've been okay.  I only got the second one because the first was 3-4 years old. . . it still works fine if you don't mind it being bigger and lower-resolution.
