My car got stolen and I'm thinking of replacing it with the Z however I live in Chicago and I'm afraid it may be bad in the snow. Are they? If so, would replacing the tires help any?

  1. many folks like me only have one car and i nearly always have a RWD car

and it snows every year and def rains all the time in fact most days,so its often slippery.Driving a RWD you just have to be aware and you just have to take your time on bends and in any cases when your wheels are not straight ie coming out of a bend.

But myself have slid just as much and fact even more in FWD cars.

There fine just remember to take your time on snowy days as you would in any car.

  2. it might not be terrible in the snow if you put snow tires on the 350z and try to put some weight in the trunk of the car to help add traction thats all i can think of besides be light on the gas pedal

  3. You'll have to be alittle careful with the acceleration because it is a rear wheel drive. Change the summer tires for winter ones and you should be ok

  4. A high powered rear wheel drive car in the snow? Even with the best tires it is difficult to drive on slick surfaces. I reccomend the kind of car that does not get stolen. Buy your summer car and keep a rusted out ford taurus for winter duty

  5. Not just bad. It is impossible to drive in snow.

It is a RWD car. RWD cars can not even move in snow even if it is only 1/2 an inch of snow.

People who live in areas that have snow and have 350z's always have a 2nd car for the snow.

350z's are also slippery in rain because of the RWD.
