Is the Oasis Cancun resort a good one?How is the beach, food, bars, activities,etc.?

If you don't go at the spring break season, it's amazing and the beach is beautiful.

Do a search on www.Flickr.com for Oasis Cancun, you'll find lots of pictures on there, from the beach to the gardens and pool area. It was extended and has been totally renovated last year, so any horror stories about missing doors etc should now be done away with.

The Food is excellent, and have a wide range to choose from.

There are obviously times of the year like Spring Break when the place is full of Students, and so can be a noisy... so not exactly the time to go if you want to relax.

The Beach is long with nice white sand, usually with a beach volleyball court and plenty of sun loungers. The Sea tends to be a little rough though during October through to January. Some beautiful sunrises over the sea there.

I may be incorrect here, but I think I remember being told that this was the typical "Spring Break" party hotel- dirty, and grimey.  Some of the bathroom stalls don't even have doors.  I remember hearing this about a hotel, and I am pretty sure it was the Oasis Cancun.  I think it is part of a chain of hotels there though, where if you stay at one, you can visit the rest as well.

This resort offers great beaches and some of the nicest grounds in the area, very lush and tropical. The resort is nice, basic ammentities and if you book in the Oasis and not the Grand you don't get a mini bar and some of the restaurants. You may want to upgrade that one step to get a bit more of the extras you look forward to on vacation. The rooms and nice and again basic. No frills here, you get what you pay for but let me also say it is not a Jersey Shore Motel either.
