Is the Olympus SP-570 UZ sold in stores??

I can't find it anywhere. if it isn't does anyone know why.

feedback on the camera would also be appreciated.

  1. Yes, it is sold in stores.  Being a higher end (and higher priced) point-n-shoot, it is not necessarily carried in all locations even of chains that carry the camera.

    I have seen it in both Radio Shack and J&R Music Stores (both in Manhattan), but again YMMV dependent on location.

    One of the few Point and Shoot "SuperZooms" that can shoot RAW as well as JPG, the Olympus SP570 UZ is one of those cameras that is trying to blur the line between Point-N-Shoot and dSLR cameras.

    Like most Olympus cameras it does better when you avoid low light situations, but the fact that it has a hot shoe which allows you to put a good quality flash on it, that is not as much of a problem as it is for most point-n-shoot cameras.

    It is the most feature packed camera you can find (as far as I know) in the $400 (depending on location) price range currently available.
