Is the PGA Tour in sad shape when one guy out of 100 can't beat a gimp with a torn ACL?

Are you kidding me? Woods plays with a jacked up knee and not one guy can take advantage?

Perhaps the PGA Tour should change its tagline to "These Guys are Average" instead of "These Guys are Good".

So I guess you think YOU could have beat him and all the other players out there?  It was an "Open" tournament so you were allowed to qualify and play.

It is amazing the comments made for Tiger and against Tiger but this guy is a real " put down" for the tour in general. Yes, the course was tough. Yes,a journeyman kept the ball in play did his pars and an occasional birdie and finished tie for the lead. The others??? They all went up in smoke!! And if it wasn't for the fact that Tiger, bad knee and all, reached the 91st green , a par 5, in 2 and Rocco flubbed a chip, the journeyman may have made it a " cinderella" finish.

I think it is just an indication of how good Tiger really is. The players on the PGA are very good. Tiger is just better. I dare you to play a round at Torrey Pines . Lets see how you do.

There never was and never will be another Tiger.  His mother's intelligence and his father's physique, love of both golf and discipline.  He grew up to be a golf ball-hitting machine with a brain and guts. But machines need to built of stronger materials than we are, so the break-down was inevitable. I am reminded of the great matadors and racecar drivers in history.  The ones that pushed it to the limit won the glory, but many of them paid a big price for it.

As for the other guys, I think the question should be "Why Rocco?" Perhaps the younger players are more "Slight Stuff" than "Right Stuff." Not in technique, but in mental fortitude.

That is the Us open for you it makes the greatest look avg. It is one of the hardest courses there is. btw Tiger didn't win easily he had alot of luck and made a wonderfull turn around with that great putt he had on 18 to have a turn around. This is why you seen Phil Mickelson use a 3 wood . He wanted to keep it out of the rough. The rough killed golfers at this US open. Let say you shot a 5 over at a regular golf course if you where to play at the us open it would probably rise to 20 over no kidding. The courses they play at are the hardest in the world. Which makes some of them look crappy. Now back to your question how did Tiger beat them? Well Tiger is probably the greatest ever. And Golf isn't really a physically demanding sport. And btw Tiger's knee didn't hurt during his swing it hurt after words occording to the golf annocers so maybe that was why. But sure i guess it did affect him but not alot apprently.

Yea you are fu**in stupid. If you ever go to a pga tour event you would be amazed at how good they really are. Sure he had a jacked up knee.  Everyone else is good... Tiger is great. So why don't you go play fetch with your little doggie and shut the h**l up.

You've been to several tour events huh and I'm sure you could compete in them.  Why don't you just go to Q-school and prove us wrong. Then you could get on tour and tame Tiger.

Well those guys are good but Tiger is that much better , I kind of get your point though , someone should have been able to step up besides the 158th ranked player in the world .

The PGA wants Tiger to win he is their bread and butter.

I would find it hard NOT to believe that the PGA has mentioned something to these other average golfers at best to take it easy.

Wouldn't put it past them.
