Question:

Is the PS3 version 2.42 safe?

I'm just making sure before I update my unit. 2.40 still bugs me and I'm worried if 2.42 still has problems...experiences please!

Mine broke one week after I got 2.42, but I don;t think that was the problem. I'm pretty sure that the 2.42 download is safe.

Yeah man it's fine.. Last week I was worried to because of the "2.40 trouble".. So I decided to download the 2.42 and it went fine.

It's fine. They made 2.41 to fix any bugs made by 2.40. And they made 2.42 to make sure no bugs escaped 2.41
