Question:

Is the PSP 3000 pointless?

So, Sony recently announced that they are making a new PSP model right. The PSP 2000 - which was then subsequently released.

Now they have made a PSP 3000 model, with a better screen and a mic input. That's right - all that they've done is better the screen and added a mic. No hard drive, no super extended battery, no new design for combating cramped hands you get when playing your PSP.

So my question is, is the 3000 model pointless and should Sony have just kept the slim and light as it's main system?

  1. Hehe I guess I'm pretty angry for getting a PSP-2000.

    It's pointless.

    IMO.

  2. omg there just trying 2 make there money no its not worth it

  3. technology is advancing so fast that the big company wants to upgrade/update their product each year and also the technology is getting cheaper each year too. they also want to make a new product each year and find a way to make it better. for example if sony released a psp with 144 hours battery life and 160gb hard drive with super good gaming and music experience device then everyone will buy that product and keep it for 5-8 years so in the long run sony will end up losing money and it will be very expensive to make this kind of product. everyone is greedy and spoiled if not at lot so don't blame company like sony or apple, because everyone is working hard in providing these products.  So if you dont like psp 3000 then buy psp 4000 it should come out in 1-2 years if you can wait that long...

  4. Yes, Sony should have just kept the slim and light as it's main system. The changes aren't vital, the screen in my opinion is just fine, and the microphone seems to only be a way to makes more money by coming out with games where it is an important part of the gameplay. Kind of like the DS and Nintendogs. They're just trying to squeeze more money probably. In my opinion, the thing they need to change is how the PSP easily scratches and fingerprints stick to the console; they need to change the outside material and make it a little more thougher, like the GBA was.

  5. no i think it is a very good device. if you have 1 good job,  if you are going to buy 1 it would be to your advantage
