Is the Palm Tungsten E2's charger compatible with the Palm Centro (smartphone)?

I left my Centro's charger behind on a trip, and I will not get it until another week. In the meantime, I need a way to charge my phone. Before my Centro, I had a Palm Tungsten E2 and I still have it and its charger.

Is it safe to use the Tungsten E2's charger on my Centro?

Will it have any adverse effects? Like drain my battery? Or ruin my phone?
