my answer:

we can only if we could win our first gold medal...

and the government provides the right funds for sports...

and the athletes would get the right training they deserve...

and if a new Olympic-sized stadium would be built somewhere in Manila or in Cebu...

  1. No. Quite frankly, no.

You would need several Olympic-size stadiums. The Philippines simply doesn't have the resources to host the Olympics.

  2. Nope, sorry. Unless the country pumps in at least $20 billion for its preparation.

  3. Do you know how much it would cost to host the Olympics, and country loses money it doesn't gain it it will gain a very small amount from advertisements, that's why the IOC chooses very wealthy countries with a fully developed economy but probeley in the future it would be nice to a see the Olympics held in south Asia instead of America,Europe and East Asia

  4. They don't even have a soccer stadium, let alone several world-class facilities.

  5. Well I think no, not really. The Philippines would be an interesting place to host the Olympics based off of pictures that I have seen. But the pictures I saw could have been from a terrible area. If the people and society there can step up to the plate and really show that they can handle such an event, then I guess. But for now, I am not so sure.

  6. A lot is going to have to change for all the pieces to come together.  The committee looks at a wide variety of issues such as availability of housing, committment to invest to venues, ease of travel, commuting, proximity, etc.  Unfortunately, the Phillipines infrastructure and economy would not support the cost of developing an Olympic site.

  7. Perhaps someday
