Is the Qu'ran worse than the bible??

So you probably read that question and it made you mad. But I'm wondering in terms of what it says and how it says to treat people and situations?? I think our media portrays muslims as bad people and that the Qu'ran makes them all violent jihads. But I read a book called three cups of tea and it changed my mind. It said the Qu'ran actually has a lot to do with love and peace and alot of people tend to take it out of context to use as means of violence. Likewise does the bible haven't parts encouraging violence?? thanks... :)

I know I could solve this problem by reading both the bible and Qu'ran but I don't have time.

If the Imams running Islam were preaching love and peace, 90% of this world's violence would end.

About 200 years ago, as Islam attacked this new nation's cargo ships, demanding our new nation submit and pay tribute to Islamic mastery, Thomas Jefferson got a copy of the Koran.  Upon reading it, he insisted this nation should build a navy and establish a marine military force (the Marine Corps) to go and clobber the Muslims because there was no way they would stop trying to force us to submit.

Islam literally means "submission".  If you don't do it voluntarily, you will be forced into it.

I agree with you that Islam is actually a very peaceful religion. The media never focuses on good things, tragedy is where they get all their stories. The only big difference between these religions is that Jesus was divine, and Muhammad was not. Other than that, they both focus on peace toward neighbors and a single God.

Yeah the media does portray it wrongly but media portrays almost everything wrongly.

I know a lot of followers of Islam. They are wonderful and incredibly happy. In fact their religion brings them real joy which I believe does not happen to very many christians or jews or any other religion.

Most of them are an example to the rest of the world!

Both the Bible and the Qur'an are fine. The hate comes from preachers and imams teaching their own personalized hate. Read both for yourself and get rid of the middle man hate mongers.  It's not the fault of either book.
