Question: I've heard that the Queen of England is a maternal descendant of China's Shang Dynasty and therefore she and the entire royal family of England are part-Chinese. Is this true?

  1. They don't have one drop of Chinese blood in them.

  2. Nope. There's German blood,  no Chinese, in the Royal Family. They changed their German name to Windsor when Fascism took hold of most of Europe.

  3. Nope- German- and Prince Phillip is Greek

  4. that is incorrect. the royal family is of german heritage.

  5. What on earth have you been smoking ????

  6. not at all . look it up  and find out the Windsor history

  7. I guess we would haveto draw some of her royal blue blood and do a spot of DNA testing for this one, cheers.

  8. No she isn`t. Prince Philip is of German ancestry.

  9. I have no doubt that Elizabeth can trace her ancestry back to William the Conqueror and Charlemagne, but the Shang Dynasty was between 1600 and 1046 BC!

    P. S.  I've found a reference to which you may be referring:

Incidentally, the Tang Dynasty (CE 618 to 907) is a tad bit earlier  than the Shang Dynasty.  Of course, since the Red Guard destroyed lots of documents during the Cultural Revolution between 1966 to 1976, this trivia probably can't be verified.

  10. She looks like a typical dried up caucasian to me. I never knew china had any dynasty's.

  11. im not sure but i do know that her cousin was the Kaisers of Germany during WW1

  12. How could the Queen be "part-Chinese?” Even if her maternal side of the family originated from the Shang Dynasty which existed between 1600 BC - ca. 1046 BC, that was thousands of years ago before her birth. If we all followed your theory, then I guess we are all "part-African" according to the “Mitochondrial Eve” theory. Mitochondrial Eve is the name given by researchers to the woman who is defined as the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) for all living humans. Passed down from mothers to offspring for over a hundred thousand years, her mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is now found in all living humans: every mtDNA in every living person is derived from hers. She is believed to have lived about 140,000 years ago in what is now Ethiopia, Kenya or Tanzania.

The Queen and the royal family is of German descent starting from King George I of Great Britian, who was a German Prince and a distant cousin of Queen Anne, the last English monarch to rule Great Britian from the House of Stewart. As for the question of whether the Queen may have any “chinese ancestry” through her material side of the family is highly unlikely. Even if she did have “chinese ancestry” she would not be considered “part-chinese” since neither of her parents were Chinese for one, and her great-great-great maternal grandmother was Frances Webb (1775 - 1862) and she was an English woman through and through.

  13. It is unlikely, since the Shnag Dynasty began around 1600 BC and that wasn't even the first Chinese dynasty which just goes to show how old Chinese civilisation is. However back to the main subject. It's highly unlikely especially if you look at British history and see how quickly kings and queens kicked the bucket from disease, war etc, and the English monarchy was constantly displaced and replaced with new families. Even if they did have Chinese descent, they'd never admit it. I can't see an Asian/African/Hispanic person marrying into the royal family anytime soon either.
