Is the R&S section really just the C&A section?

Question

I know I'm in a minority as a Wiccan, but sometimes it really seems like there are only questions aimed at Christians and Atheists in R&S. Does anyone else feel that way? I feel like this section of Y!A is turning into one huge Flame War, so I'd like to take this opportunity to find out what other religions are people in R&S representing. Where are my fellow Pagans? Hindus? Buddhists? Or any other religion, stand up and let yourself be seen!

Deist with a B.A. in Anthropology (Archaeology). No religion, I believe the consciousness of the entire universe is God.

Evolution is a scientific theory and a fact.

There are a lot of questions aimed at Atheists that involve evolution in this section. Evolution does not equal Atheism.

Eclectic Pagan (pantheist) here, and I do my best to counterbalance my many Christian and atheist questions with questions for other religions, and questions for everyone.

I have noticed this as well, but I think it might have to do with the fact that questions relating to beliefs other than Christianity or Atheism, get flamed relentlessly.

Buddhist here.

But, as our thrust is toward enlightenment, achieved on our own, and not salvation, achieved via the grace of a diety, we are often labelled as atheists.

I have several friends on here who are pagan, and they are pretty cool people.  I know that the Christians and Atheists have you guys out numbered and that we are constantly at each others throats, but you guys do get your licks in on occasion.

Certainly not!  There are plenty of agnostics and pagans here...Buddhists as well.  The pagans are some of the coolest people here, and I've got several friends among them.

Atheism is now coming to be the dominant belief in society and the number 2 dog is getting a little peeved.

Fortunately, we atheists are not like christians in that we believe everyone has the right to freely practice their religion. However, as atheists, we hold it dear to our hearts to have the right to criticise all religious practice on the grounds of reason.

Thus, all the wicca, buddhists, hindus etc need fear nothing from us - except to the extent that your beliefs poison the minds of others.

There are plenty of Pagans, Muslims, Satanists, Pastafarians, Heathens, etc. here.  We love them all.  And we love our Judeo-Christian and Atheist family too.  Everyone should remain calm and see each other for fellows on the journey.   Take care.
