Yes, they are open on Sundays.

If you go to the website, http://www.movietickets.com, you can select show times for Sundays and even purchase your tickets in advance.

I looked through my 'collection' of ticket stubs from Commonwealth 20, and sure enough, came across 2 different stubs from Sundays, further solidifying my answer.
