Is the Remington Wet2Straight a good straightener?

Question

I will probably mostly/only use it on my hair dry but if you do it when your hair is damp, what does it turn out like? and is it really bad for your hair? if i got a certain damage control product would that help? I don't think I'm going to use it when my hair is wet but I'm just curious. Thanks =)

I had this flat iron for about a year, and it worked great at first but after a while, it really does stop working. It also damaged my hair a bit, not like messed it up completely. The plates started washing off and it literally burns your hair.

Waste of money!

Try another flat iron, make sure it is ceramic and use anti-frizz heat protector spray before flat ironing your hair.

Well I own this one and I like it a lot but it doesn't work well on wet hair.

Does great on dry hair though!

ughh it is not that gr8 i hav it n it doesnt work on wet hair and if u have curly hair, it just poofs it up, it doesnt straighten it at all i recomend solia it will make the dull shine!! lol but it true good luck!!

Yes I too have the 1" it's good because it only takes like 10 minutes to straighten and it won't leave your hair feeling dry

I have very short black hair like Yulia Volkova's and I don't have to use any hair products to make my hair shine because hair shine products just make it look greasy and the straightener leaves it shiny and healthy looking, it doesn't damage hair either

I straighted my bangs once when my hair was a little damp, it worked okay but it way better if used when your hair is dry

haha, yeah it is. the only thing is DONT use it if your hair is wet!!! i did that for the first time, like last year after i took a shower and it was SIZZZZLE! it freaked me out. obviously that was the first and last time id ever do that! :p but otherwaise it works pretty well. i have the 1-inch one. its great

if she does, than its a good straightener.

but the others are right,

dont use it when wet.

no matter what any straightenr says,

its just stupid to straghten wet hair.

any wet 2 straight iron will burn oyur hair no matter if its ceramic or not. you should always use a protective spray. you shouldnt be flattening it if its wet anyway. but my friend loves it! she uses it alot (wich isnt too good tho) but its like a  cheap alternative to the chi

Ugh, it was a good first straightener, but i hated it.

It did NOT work on wet or damp hair.

And it didnt staighten very well either, i dont reccomend it.

NO! dont get it its horrible! and it doesnt work at all if you try to straighten your hair when its wet.

i used to have that kind, but now i have remington but its like purple and blue...i dont know what its exactly called but i love it. :]

never use straighteners on wet hair even if it says you can, you'll wreck your hair

it takes so long if ur hair is wet. but if its lightly damp it works well and of course it works amazing on dry hair. and if u do use it on wet/damp hair just use heat protectant it should be fine.
