Is the Sandisk 2GB SD card write speed fast enough?

I want to take plenty of 8 megapixel images (maybe in burst mode) and video with my camera. I read somebody say that a Kingston 2GB had only 1.5mb/s write speed and that it's not enough. What about the Sandisk version? Is it fast enough?

Both brands have more than one speed.
