Is the Sony DCR-SR32 camcorder worth getting?

i've been looking around for a good £200-£300 camcorder and this seems to be the best i've found.

  1. If you don't mind less than best video, it would be OK.

    MiniDV tape based camcorders continue to provide best available video quality because DV (and HDV) do not compress as much as the hard drive or flash memory camcorders do. DVD based camcorders provide worst available video quality.
