Is the Sony Ericsson K800i compatible with the next g network?

iam thinking about buying the k800i but iam just wondering if it is compatible with the next g network.

no, the k800 is only 3g where as nextG is technically 3.5g. but even then, the handset has to be compatible with telstras 850mhz network which not too many handsets are.
