  1. Not at all, any spyder is very unreliable, go with a tippmann, there very reliable and very upgradeable and never ever break. a tippmann 98 custom is great and so is the a-5 if you like to shoot a bit faster.

  2. ive never had a spyder but tippmanns are the most reliable markers ever made...my 98 lasted me for 4 years with no problems at all... You could bury a tippmann in a desert for 10 year and dig it up a fire it with no problems... ive dropped mine in a pool and it actually fired completly submerged... Mainly if you want a gun that will last get any tippmann model

  3. Don't know about the MR1 but I had a friend who had a spyder, didn't last him too long. The Co2 line busted only after going paintballing like 4 times. I bought a Tippmann refurbished 98 Custom. That gun is super reliable. You could go with the A5 or w/e if you have money, but I upgraded my Tippmann with a response trigger, cyclone feed, and threw a 20 inch freak barrell on it. Unstoppable. All together about $300 some odd dollars with all the upgrades and the gun. shoots 15 balls per second!

  4. Yes the Spyder MR1 is a very reliable gun.  The Tippmann guns are also well known to be reliable and strong too.  Check them out at Ultimate Paintball they have package deals so you can save some money.  http://www.pntball.com
