  1.   The sun is likely the least threat to the earth for at least a billion years.

  2. I think humans are the greatest threat to human and the Earth.  We can protect ourselves from the sun, and it helps our plants grow and gives us Vitamin D - necessary nutrition.  We could not function without it - so I guess it's a necessary evil.

  3. The Sun is not "the" greatest threat to humans, but one of the threats to our long term survival on the Earth. Our Sun will become a supernova in about 5 billion years from now... and thats a long time into the future and presently there are several other threats like asteroid impacts, supernovae, gamma ray bursts, geological events like super volcanoes, earth quakes and not to forget the threat created by humans, that is "the global warming".

  4. At the moment, humans are the greatest threat to ourselves and the planet.

The Sun is a powerful force, but it will not be a severe danger for a long time. However, due to the actions of man, the danger has increased.

  5. In about 4 billion years, it will be, but we probably won't be around by that time.  Currently humans are the biggest threat to life on Earth.  We are polluting the atmosphere and the Earth and using up our natural resources at a prodigious rate.  We are using up the fresh water and oil, and cutting down the rain forests, which supply oxygen and use up carbon dioxide.  If we don't change our ways, we won't need to worry about what happens in the far future.  If we stop adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, implement renewable energy usage, and we allow the ozone layer to mend itself, we won't have to worry about the sun.

  6. in 5 billion yrs when the sun is a red giant and extends its outmost part beyond the earths orbit... maybe....

right now we are the biggest threat to our selfs because we are increasing green house gases... and plus we destroy everything...

  7. yeah its the cause of all diseases, war, poverty and anything. its just a big lie they r saying, that it helps sustain life on earth!

did u know 6 billion people die each day because of the sun?

  8. No.  We humans are.

  9. sun is not the greatest threat, it is a boon for living organisms on earth.

life is existing on earth because sun is there we cannot think of life without sun

I think, human being is the greatest threat for human, other organisms and earth.

hostility between humans will bring a nuclear holocaust sooner or later.

so, from now you should consider humans as the greatest threat.

  10. Certainly not in the short term.  We cannot live without it.  It is necessary for life on this planet.  Unfortunately things change.  The sun is slowly brightening.  In about a billion years this will lead to the total extinction of life on the surface.  In another billion years the oceans will have evaporated and all life will become extinct.  Earth will be like Venus for the next 3 billion years, then it will be swallowed by the red-giant sun.  This might be considered a threat. It is possible to move the earth outwards to ameliorate the effects of the brightening sun.  The process is rather risky, but not particularly difficult.  It involves using the close approach of a large asteroid every few centuries.  I forget the details.  Needless to say, if this is attempted and somebody screws up, we are toast considerably earlier than we would have been.

  11. No, its the opposite. The Sun is the soarce of all energy . The Sun provides plant energy via photosyntheseis and thus starts the food chain.

Humans are the greatest threat to human existence.
