Is the T-Mobile Shadow a good phone for the money?

I am considering buying the Shadow for my daughter, but at $200, I just want more information than I can find on the "review" sites.

I have had the Shadow for about 8 months now. I used to have the Razor...I miss some of the easy to use features on the text portion of the phone. The Shadow has a screen you need to go to in order to send and receive texts. However the "newer" Shadow has solved this issue (the one you might buy)...other than that people have said they cannot hear me as well with the Shadow, but as far as it being user friendly and dependable it gets a thumbs up....I can say that I am very happy with it...I'm sure she will be very happy as well.
