Are there different difficult levels of TOEFL exams for people with different English abilities?
ie: There are a few exam formats catering to people with different standards in English.
Or is there only one standard TOEFL examination throughout the whole cohort?
I have a friend who says he wants to take the TOEFL examination but the thing is, he hardly knows many words. Conversation wise, he only knows simple greetings and if you start using slightly difficult words, he will not understand. Reading wise, it is the same, he cannot recognise most words. Even a 6 year old who receives english education for 2 years would know more than him.
So, is he joking about taking the TOEFL?
I read some of the sample questions, they are definitely way out of his ability...
