  1. It has become little more than a format for the Labour party to spread its propaganda. In effect the licence fee is a contribution to New Labour.

  2. no way!

  3. it's absolutely disgusting that we are paying for a service whether we chose it or not!!!!!! if they are so concerned about getting our money then they should become an optional pay per view channel and let us have our rights back to make our own decisions.

who the bloody h**l do the bbc think they are? daylight blinking robbery.

  4. Absolutely not - the BBC is so biased and who wants to pay for us to provide free radio services to other countries ?!!

  5. The BBC provides a massive contribution to the UK, from the best radio probably in the world, to its huge news data base and education, which all primary school pupils seem to be familiar with, and as Hibee says, all for 40p per day. Perhaps you need to explore what is available. Where it wastes money, on huge salaries for the likes of J Clarkson and his ilk is annoying, but even these seem to have a following.

  6. no, sky it worth it thats why people choose to pay for it, the bbc license is forced on us by law, otherwise they would probably go bust, most people seem to hate it so why are forced against our will to pay for it?

  7. No, at least I think that most of the time. Then all at once the B.B.C. comes up with a great documentary or a nature programme with absolutely fantastic shots !!!

  8. I think it's worth every penny, do we really need more commercial TV in the U.K. Where you can sit and watch a programme that entertains without being bombarded with ads every 10 mins (thanks Blair), for compensation and ringtones.

  9. is Sky worth it? pay a fortune AND they still shower you with commercial breaks. The BBC is in comparison good value for money if you ask me, they do some world class stuff from time to time. Perhaps they need to spend less of the likes of Eastenders and the tripe they put out on a Saturday night.

  10. time they got rid of it.

  11. No.

  12. Of course its not - especially with the bollocks that passes for dumbed down programming these days..

  13. No. It is outdated and pretty much a tv tax.

Basic sky or cable: 200+ channels for around £120

TV licence 10 bbc channels for £139.50

    great value :D

  14. No, definitely not.

    It's over-priced and over-rated.  :(

  15. h**l no but one thing that is good that the bbc dont have any commercials which is great

  16. Whether it is worth it or not is irrelevant, its a TAX and there is no way it will ever be done away with.

  17. I agree with you richard..boring c**p on the BBC..TV LICENSE..not worth it at all.mary.c.

  18. The BBC should advertise and come out of the dark ages!

  19. 40p a day?  Of course it's worth it.

Better than giving your cash to Rupert (Master of the World) Murdoch.

  20. No - but you haven't got a choice. Might as well ask if it's worth paying tax........
