I know the Thai language is tonal when speaking

but how about when singing?

I'm not sure...

And if you don't speak Thai or don't know anything

about Thailand then please don't answer this question.

I want "accurate" info.

  1. Yes. The tone rules for speaking also applies even when singing. However, most foreigners wouldn't notice this unless one is very fluent in speaking Thai, where he can easily distinguish subtle variation in tone whenever words are pronounced or sung.

  2. Stop worrying about tones. Words never stand alone, they're always in a sentence, in context.  You can botched a tonal word, and as long as it's surrounded by other words, it will make sense. Surprise! Even English has  tones.
