Question:

Is the Triumph Speed Four a straight-forward bike to maintain and modify (mechanically and cosmetically)?

I am thinking of getting one as my first big bike, but a couple of people have said that after-market support for this bike is lacking.

Is there any truth to this? Are parts or support scarce (in UK)?

Also, should I wish to modify the bike in terms of performance or cosmetics, are there plenty of options out there or is the Speed Four an 'obscure' bike in this respect? Thanks!

  1. yup,no special tools needed...there quite a good bike you shouldnt have any probs with it.

  2. You should have no probz obtaining parts , although being a Triumph aftermarket non genuine parts are rare.  With the bikes from the big 4 j*p manufacturers there are more of them so pattern parts are more readily available and cheaper.

Before you commit to buying the Speed 4 , why not take the competition out for a test ride ?

I've known a few people buy one bike then wish after they had bought a similar bike from another manufacturer upon riding it.

Hope this helps ,  good luck !
