Is the U.S. Army paying Iraqis not to kill U.S. Soldiers?

Is that the real “Surge?” 2.8 Billion dollars in gifts to Iraqi citizens? McCain says the “Surge” is working? Working for whom? What will happen when we stop paying them for not killing us?

I just think it is crazy that our US troops are out there in Iraq for what?  What the h**l do we have to do anything with Iraq.

I'm in the army, and I can tell you right now that we arn't paying them to do ****. Bush is sending everyone and there Mother over there to keep fighting, and for what reason? Because he doesn't want Osama to run anything, but wait a minute? Hes not! So were there for no reason.. mmm how I love Bush..

If there are still US soldiers around when you stop paying them, they will stop playing nicely.

On a related note- Iraq is not one single mass of people and cannot be treated as such- they're split into loads of religions/ tribes/ factions/ families. Whatever happens over there, some of these groups'll end up on top, while some will be really hacked off that they're not on top.

Yes, the US is paying Sunnis to NOT FIGHT.

Its ironic that republicans are pissed at welfare and govt handouts for Americans, but they support unlimited giveaways for Iraqis
