Is the U.S. screwed when it comes to the future of gas prices?

With prices predicted to reach $10 a gallon in 4 years, and no oil "crash" in site, are we doomed? Or is there hope? Details=10.

  3. we're not doomed because of oil prices, which only reflect the shrinking value of the dollar.

    but we are doomed anyway, because of inflation of the dollar will cause total economic collapse and send us into unbelievable depression.

    Congress could have stopped the Fed from playing games with our dollar long ago; but that didn't fit their syndrome of "something for everybody" which sent US debt out of control.

  5. The US is not doomed. Your economy will adjust to the price by decreased demand and higher prices for everything else. It is has started to happen. Oil stocks have been increasing a small amount because of flagging demand.
