Is the U.S. government really this stupid?

Please help me here. We spend $ trillions fighting in Iraq that adds to our debt, so we borrow from the Chinese in exchange for treasury notes. As we are getting ready to leave this mess the Iraqi's sign $ billion oil deals with the Chinese. So the Iraqi's will be rich, the Chinese will be rich, and we will be closer to bankruptcy for our children to pay. Do the withdrawal negotiations involve the U.S. getting repayment from future oil revenues - or are we just morons?

Americans are paying the price for their unjustified invasion of Iraq. America's sole agenda of attacking Iraq was to gain control over the oil fields, and how shamelessly they created the story of WMD, simply to legitimize their attack on Iraq. 

This war has left Iraq in shatters, a country that can be compared to a sub Saharan Africn country. Half of the Iraqi children have been orphaned by this war. U.S administration will have to pay a heavy price for what they did in Iraq.
