Is the UFC destroying the mystique of their fighters?

None of the fighters are interesting, like in the early days. Now, they are all dull. Ex: Rampage Jackson seems more like a punk after he appeared as a coach for Ultimate Fighter. Your thoughts.

  1. true, nowadays it seems that everything is being degraded and even great shows are becoming less appealing and dull, (it seems that you cant even see children idoling these people because they are so dull and un appealing) so yes ufc is destroying the mystique of their fighters

  2. because it has turned into a real sport and has left the side show behind. the fighters in the early days could not hang with the new guys.

  3. The UFC is destroying the mystique and reputation by having such long lay-overs for their fighters.

  4. They punch each other in the face for a living so that's all you really need to know.

  5. Your opinion.  I think it is a good idea to get the fighters out there and make them more personable.  That way people don't think they are a bunch of uneducated thugs.

  6. I miss the one night elimination, random match up to these weight class and title matches

  7. I think they are poor representatives of the martial arts.

The Gracies were cheaters, but at least they respected the other fighters.

Now we got this Ortiz guy flipping off Ken Shamrock at his retirement match? Come on. Tito Ortiz should be put to sleep. He is disrespectful and when his body goes and he can't fight anymore he will have no ones respect because he has not developed spiritually.

  8. I'd rather see someone who can actually fight than someone who's good on the mic. If I want that I'd watch WWE.

Why go and see someone who's good at talking sh*t when we can see someone who can beat it out of another?

  9. I dont think they're destroying it, they're changing it. Before they had it on personality, guys like Tito, Chuck, and Randy; win or lose you liked those guys. Now they're building it more on talent. A lot of their top talent isnt all-american stars like before; their best fighters doesnt even speak english. But what they lack in major all-american stars, they make up for in skills. Watching Anderson Silva fight is like watching Michael Jordan play basketball, sure he doesnt have the charisma but after you watch you come away with the feeling that you just watched the greatest MMA fighter ever do it again.

  10. I guess so, but I really dont care as long they fight it out.
