  1. I agree with andy 1411. One of the first things Gordon Brown did as Chancellor was to give responsibility for inflation to the bank of England. Previous Chancellors would take advise from the Bank of England and set interest rates accordingly, however just before a General Election they would ignore the Bank and set interest rates to make it look like everything in the garden was rosy. It was a brave move.

In answer to your question, yes, but I don't understand why you put that link.

  2. If we could send back the 10 million immigrants (and growing) then most of our problems including crime, prison population, traffic volume, emmissions, rising food costs, fuel costs, social problems, political correctness, would be solved at a stroke.

  3. Not only UK but the whole global economy is in crisis.

The war on terror just care on the fighting in the front line and how many people were killed. UK government has forgotten how important the economic battle field.

During WWII, Churchill went to U.S. for resource and supply. Since he established that supply chain and Hilter failed to destroy it, Britain and France won back the battle. U.S. was also success to lock Japan and destroy its supply chain from south-east asia, nuke just accelerated the destruction of Japan, during WWII.

Since Alliance forgot those old teaching, supporter of al Qaeda was able to push the oil price to crazy level via NY stock market.

U.S. and U.K. should consider the buying and selling of oil in capital market immediately.

  4. Yes, however this crisis can be eliminated if the Bank of England reduce interest rates on Thursday.
