As far I know that The M1 Abrams is the last main battle tank. It designed in 1970 and produced in 1979 in the United States.

The M1 Abrams is named after US General Creighton Abrams, former Army Chief of Staff and former commander of the 37th Armored Regiment in Vietnam War (1969-1974).

they are working on the MRAP but that is a vehicle with wheels it is a humvee that is higher than the usual humvee and the bottom of the vehicle is in a triangular angled shape this helps when an ied imporvised explosie device is detinated he exploasion is directed out to the sides instead of directly under the vehicle possibly saving lives this vehicle has been around for some time but the government is testing it and critisizing rather it should be used
