  1. No. One real problem that Mexico is about to face is that their largest export - oil - is falling in volume. This will mean even less revenue to support the limited social services they have now further driving people to emigrate.

  2. nah mexico is way poorer i went there last month

  3. Not yet I think a dollor is still like 10 pesos but things may change.

  4. no way come on, while mexico is making big strides in its economy and society U.S. is still the largest and most powerfull economy in the world it has an economy larger than germany japan and france combined . Much of Mexicos progress is due to Nafta wich allows manufacturing to be done in mexico and not pay import duties at the border. while allowing larger american corporations function in mexico like at&t, directv, and others. If U.S. were to fail economically then the rest off the world would plunge as well because U.S. is the largest purchaser of its products.

  5. I've wondered about that myself, good question.  In our case, our downward spiraling economy is due to government taxes and corporate greed which has led to"outsourcing" American jobs to other countries such as Mexico and Taiwan.  Hard to believe some of our major firms can't afford to hire home labor, but they don't have to provide health insurance on foreign soil like they do here.  Medical care providers and the insurance companies have been just as ready to push us over the financial cliff with excessive costs as have the major firms taking away our jobs.   Workers' rights and protections started disappearning when the trade unions were nearly completely destroyed and/or fell out of favor because they became the political scapegoats.  Good example of this was the defeat of the Air Traffic Controllers union back when Reagan was president and the government marched right  in to deliver a knife in the back to our now diminishing middle-class worker.

  6. Because of the recent news the US economy is slowing down, it does not mean its growth is negative. With Mexico getting richer, I think that will never happen at least in this century.

If you are talking about economic size (total services and products produce by the country in a specific period), the US is way larger. It still has the top post in the world and China (emerging economic superower), Japan (#2 in economic size to date), and Mexoco (#15-20) still have that huge gap from the US. Basically, the US is three times larger than Japan in economic size and at least ten times larger than Mexico.

If you are talking about the average income of the people, Mexicans are way less affluent. If I am not mistaken, an average Mexican earns US $10000-15000 a year, while an average American earns US $40000+. There are about 100 million Mexicans and 300 million Americans. Do some simple math and you'll see the big difference.

  7. naw mexico just put a cap on oil prices...the reason why there are immigrants tells u that employment in mexico is no good
