The signs are all there. The crippled dollar, rising fuel prices, runaway inflation, along with an unprecedented housing market crash...

Is it just me or arent these the signs of an economy crumbling into a complete failure?

  1. We are definitely heading for economic crisis, but the economy has been worse in history, i prey government aren't too dumb and learned from mistakes in the past.

  2. What you are seeing is the death of the dollar as the world currency and ergo the dominance of the US is over, the US will recover but doubtfully to the financial freedom it had before. The US will survive but people will have to learn that certain costs are not going to recover oil will stay high or increase thats what happens when peak oil has been reached.

  3. The economy will be in a recession for a few years, but we'll bounce back like we always do.

  4. The American economy is showing signs  of weakness and possible depression looming on the horizon, if special measures aren't secure and implemented. Many of the deregulation have started to unravel our economy in such a way; its becoming global. Speculations on the market is no longer based on value of goods, but merely speculation of price at any given moment. Hopefully no more business such as Fannie Mae, Fannie Mac or even IndyMac arise. This is our wake up call.

  5. Not financial ruin just a major recession and time to call some politicians to account.
