Yes, sir!

We are sitting on top of a gold mine.  People never think about how good we've got it made when it comes to this question so they'll just answer "no".

You have to take into account all the things we can get on demand when a lot of countries have to really beg to get these things.

Some countries can barely get enough food and clean drinking water to their citizens to help them stay alive.

God Bless all those young men and women in our armed forces:

We may complain about having to go to work all day and coming home to nothing.  But we never consider that all our armed forces are getting killed and injured everyday just to save our asses.  Many countries don't have armies and can't defend themselves.  That's why we send troops to help them and start off a strong relationship.  That's why America is the best country in the world.  

We've got the best weapons in the world.

We've got the best relations with other countries in the world.

We've got the best swimming team in the world. lol

I don't care what everyone else says but we've by far got the most freedom.

At what? You need to be more specific. There really is no answer to this question as stated. There is no such thing as a "best country" in a general sense. That doesn't make any sense.

ROFLMAO, I find it incredibly entertaining that everybody is saying no, and the main reason is because we think we are superior. Apparently we don't if everybody says no, but if we don't then the reason we aren't superior is gone, thus making us the best, but then since we think we are the best, we aren't. It's quite an ironic paradox.

Anyway, there is no real measure for how good a country is. America, for example, has a stable, and effective political and economic system. While they both have their lows, they always correct themselves without too much effort. It also has the whole constitution thing, and of course amazing opportunities that no other country has. However, it has a terrible health insurance system, and no good solutions(that's my opinion, because "free" health care seems to take away the choice that we Americans seem to love so much). Also it seems that everyone born in America whose family has lived here for more than two generations seems to hate the place. Also the political biases make the average American very ignorant of other opinions.

There is no "best country," however there could certainly be one's own favorite countries.

The low percentage of the population incarcerated?  No, we are the world leader in that.

The low number of murders, rapes and other violent crimes?  Nope, we're up there in those, too.

Our exceptional education standards?  Ummm...  no.

Easy access to healthcare?  Well, not for everyone.

Is religious fundamentalism a good thing?  If so, we're right up there with Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Is it that we have a solution for our homeless problem?  Well, we have less homeless than say, Sudan or Darfur.

Maybe we are in the top 25!

To measure best I guess you are measuring quality of life.The factors that sociologists use and we are not the best.We are high but when they factor in detail we are under a few countries.Some of these factors are healthcare,education,life expectancy,gender stratification(some countries already have had women leaders),environment.It is true that alot of Americans are oblivious to the fact that we are not on top.

Of course everyone has pride in their country even if its at the bottom of all lists that's the ground you were born on.But we Americans are too Cocky and Ethnocentric.We still have a lot of growing to do.I am confident we will get there if we stand up and not put of for alot of bullshit that we do.What happened to the people having a voice and standing for what you believe.Push for manufacturers to be for enviorment friendly,push for better health care.

Come on People we say we are the best but we have citizens right here born and raised who work and still cant afford to see the d**n doctor.Come on we say we are the best lets be the best.In reality its easier said than done(being the best).I love America but we have to wake up because there are some giants out there ready to step up.
