west of international dateline is called cyclone, from the time zone change at dublin over is called a tornado ( I beleive)

I have heard that in the UK we have more tornadoes per square mile than the US, but thankfully they are usually quite small.

there are tornados across the world.  google tornado and any country and you'll probably find a story of one.
