Is the Violin a hard instrument to learn how to play?

I always wanted to play the violin, and i wanted to know if it was hard to play.

Yes.  But anything you do well is "hard."  There is no free ride anywhere.

It is probably the most difficult instrument to play. Just getting notes in tune could take months, and learning different techniques with the bow could take longer. Depending on how much you would play and practice, it could be quite some time before you no longer sound like a chicken being strangled.

i play the violin its very easy at first but then you have longer notes but you have to get use to the stretching of your fingers.
