Is the Wicked showing Apr. 3 - 19, 2009 - BJCC-Concert Hall the broadway cast? or just a touring cast?

I saw wicked in chicago knowing it wasn't the broadway cast and don't want to spend too much money to see it again unless it is THE cast..thought I do love wicked...

I also saw it on Broadway - 2 times.  It was GREAT.

Then I went to FLA and saw it again.  It was just as good.

all I can say to all is GO SEE IT.

Well, what theatre is it exactly?

I'm assuming its a tour stop because its a set time frame. The tour is just as good as other productions because they didn't cut anything out. There are a few extremely minor changes they made, but unless your really focused there isn't really anything you can notice.

Both the Chicago and Los Angeles productions are closing later this year, but the Broadway production will still be there.

It's not the original cast, they left quite some time ago. Kerry Ellis is taking over the role of Elphaba for the B'way cast and Kendra Kassebaum is Glinda.

The important thing to remember about Wicked is its amazing not matter what. The tour is the same production level as the sit down productions [27 trialers of sets and costumes] so its not less of an experience. All the casts are simply wonderful.

The original Broadway cast is gone, and the new Broadway cast is worse than the LA cast. The grandeur of Broadway isn't worth a lacking performance. If you have the money go see the Stuttgart production. Wilemjn Verkaik is just as good as Idina Menzel. Check out the German site if you don't believe me.

If you want to see the Broadway Cast you are going to have to go to New York.  Sometimes a few of them will tour but not the entire cast.  Be realistic.  Would you?  Living for weeks on the road hasta be tough.  I wouldn't want to do it if I had made a name for myself on Broadway, would you?

My bride and I have seen Wicked twice in Dallas.  Both have been touring casts and both were excellent.

Pay your money, be happy and go see the show.
