Okay, now for the people who like to assume things and argue, I have to leave this message. I am not taking sides, so I'm not blaming them for this or that, blah blah. Serious thinking answers only please. Thanks.

  1. 40 years ago we threatened nuclear war because Russia was putting missiles in Cuba, right outside our borders.  Why doesn't Russia have the same right of self defense?  Since the 1950s we have had the western part of Russia -ringed- with missiles.

Russia is a tired old has-been, a shadow of its former self.  Personally I don't think they -ever- threatened us, but whether they did or not at the height of the Cold War, they certainly don't now.  Russia sank in a pit of debt and corruption, and we are following her slowly but surely. In fact since GW Bush has been president we are following more quickly and just as surely.  8^)

  2. Cuban Missile Crises all over again?

this doesn't seem really that shocking

After all, Hitler came back ^.^ Right Mr. Bush? =\

Yeah, definitely not bringing kids into this sh*t planet.

  3. i certainly hope the old geezer doesn't win in November or the cold war is on and that just sucks

  4. It is either them waking up, or a "shot heard around the world".

If no one does anything about the invasion of a sovereign nation, then this is precedent to allow the US to invade Canada.  We could even go in using the same argument Russia used in assisting in the liberation of Ossetia and Abkazia, only we can say we are liberating Quebec since everyone knows Quebec doesn't want to be part of Canada anyway.  No matter the outcome, we either do the right thing and help the Georgians or we get Canada.  I suppose either way that really turns out as a "loss" for the United States.

  5. Absolutely, here we go again. You can bet the US will get involved. Georgia is our Allie, I am sure Bush needs their oil too. I am sure China will get involved too since they are Russia's allies. This really scares me.

  6. Spark up the military industrial complex . i see money to be made . war profiteering is what this administration is all about , right ?

  7. Oh I think Russia needs to shut up and sit down. Popping a nuke on a Nato member would be a BAD BAD BAD thing.

  8. There's an interesting prophecy in the Bible, Ezekiel 37 & 38 that speaks of "Gog" (modern day Russian) joining with Persia (modern day Iran) as well as other countries and invading Israel.  I think it's very possible that the aggressive "Russian Bear" that we're seeing lately may be just the beginning.

  9. i think the russians are telling the americans that they can't invade every country that doesn't agree to their policies in other words smarten up and you touch Iran look out

  10. After the American Shark is trying to have another bite at Iran...

The Russians warned the Europeans and the Americans after they supported independence for Kossovo.

This conflict was predicted and it was actually started by Georgia.

Now the Americans can only watch and send humanitarian aid. The Russians have called their bluff, and there is nothing they can do unless they really want to start a third world war.

  11. yes and the only way to stop them is a nuclear war that neither side can win.

  12. yes

  13. Why should we be the only ones having fun at another countries expense? Seriously.

  14. "Is the aggressiveness of the Russian Bear awakening again?"

    Yes, but with some help:

    :)

  15. It's always kinda been the same game, different name. Before they started getting aggressive, Russia was extorting commonwealth countries and former soviet nations, threatening to cut off oil supplies  during the coldest months of the year. And now Russia's opposition to a missile interception system in Poland, they oppose it because they feel threatened, and they feel threatened because they got something to hide. They are currently allied with china which pretty much is our enemy. So pretty much the Russian Bear is awakening again.

  16. Most likely and to me (we) the US need to stay out of it.

  17. Hi!

It seems we have a cold war, again.

  18. Yes it is,  they are oil rich and have been able to rearm themselves.  They are trying to take back what they lost when they basically went bankrupt during the Cold War.
