Is the alton towers waterpark right next to the theme park?

i was just wondering because if i go to both i would want them to be very close.

What is there at the waterpark?

The water park can only be accessed if you stay at the hotel. Having said that the Water park is right next to the monorail stop for the hotel.

At the water park there are two slides and just loads of random fun stuff, Jacuzzi, mini out door slides etc.

It is really fun but you would struggle to entertain yourself for more than two hours in there.

The waterpark can be accessed by non guests during the winter season when the theme park is closed..but you have to phone the hotel to confirm 1st.

From 2008 season pass holders can use the waterpark at any time by going to the hotel reception and getting an entry pass.

If you do stay at the hotel you can use the monorail to the entrance...but there is a hidden private entrance for hotel guests with a short walk from there to Forbidden valley(where Air and Nemisis are).

And from 2008 ONLY hotel guests and pass holders can get to use the park from 9am..everyone else(including those who have bought tickets in advance) can only enter from 9.30.(most rides dont start til 10 though!).

Well, the water park has a slide, 2 hot tubs ( nice) and these guns, all the little kids just squirt water at you. There is a big house that fills up with water and then tips on you. A baby pool. And that's about it. They are quite far away, to get to them, you need to use a free train service they have. What I done was stay the alton towers hotel, one day at the water park, and one day at alton towers.
