Is the amount of theophylline present in tea enough to act as a stimulant? If so, does de-caffeinated tea still contain theophylline or is this also filtered out somehow?

  1. This is highly unlikely due to the amount of theophylline in the cup of tea. Even the fact that theophylline is much more stronger than caffeine, the 1mg which is in the cup of tea (only black tea) is not enough to stimulate.
