Question:

Is the anti-Clinton bias finally starting to subside on MSNBC?

I have been closely watching this network's 2008 campaign coverage and have noticed an obvious dislike for Clinton coming from some of the MSNBC "heavy hitters" (Matthews, Russert, Olbermann). I have noticed though that Pat B. and Joe Scarborough are starting to get much more air time--which is certainly more fair and balanced! I have also noticed that Matthews is taking the recent Obama thrashings in WV, Kentucky, Penn., etc. very hard. He seems resigned to the fact that Hillary will have to be on the ticket in some manner. His handovers to David Gregory (his eventual replacement) are getting short. He also got upset and left the desk--off camera but with his mike still attached--last night when Gregory went solely to Olbermann for some input and left Matthews out. He really seems out of sorts. Things are getting testy over at the Obama network. Will this more positive Clinton treatment with Pat B., Joe S. and even Dan Abrams help boister the ratings and gain credibility?

  1. It only seems to be lessening as her hopes for the nomination get dimmer, if there was a sudden reversal of fortune which put her back in the hunt, it would be back worse than ever.
