  1. Everyone's answers sound about right, no need to reitterate, but I just thought I'd add that to qualify for a bonus you'll need an actual high school diploma, not just a GED.

  2. You have to sign up for the right MOS.

  3. The Army offers bonuses in different amounts, at different times, for different jobs. The first step is to take the ASVAB and see what jobs will be offered to you based on score. If the cash is the deal maker for you and the job doesn't matter then sign up for the job with the biggest bonus. I have seen bonuses as high as $36K in addition to the GI BIll and Army College Fund. If what you do makes a difference then prepare a list of jobs you will do and take the one of those that offers a bonus. Keep in mind that your recruiter may be able to tell you if the job you want is currently offering a bonus, but if you drag your feet then the bonus could be gone a week later.

    Good Luck

  4. There is a 20K sign on bonus for the national guard and the reserves. The active duty bonuses will vary greatly, there isn't just one bonus. In the guard if you qualify for enlistment, you can qualify for the bonus

  5. sell your soul to the devil

  6. 1) Sign on.

    2) Go to war in Iraq or Afghanistan and serve the time indicated in your contract.

    3) Try not to get injured, disabled or lose any parts of your body, before completion of your tour of duty.

    4) If you must return home due to injuries, losing any part of your body or becoming disabled, then you must pay back the portion of the bonus for not completing your time indicated in your contract !?

    Good Luck and Best Regards.

  7. i agree with iceman. i would not even wish my enemies to serve in military now days. you only serve the interest of the rich and most likely get burned at the end! 20k doesn't worse risking your physical and mental health or your life for that matter. all for serving the rich man.

    best wishes.

    peace
