  1. Absolutely not.  Drilling is permitted only in winter to minimize any impact.  Wildlife is the main concern, cars cannot drive roads if wildlife is on them.

ANWR is the size of two Wal-Mart parking lots and the national preserve is the size of West Virginia.

There's enough oil in ANWR to supply Massachusetts with oil for over 200 years.

  2. Al Gore claimed that the deadly Myanmar cyclone, which struck on May 3, could be a result of alleged man-made global warming. "the trend toward stronger and more destructive storms appears to be linked to global warming," stated Gore.

But scientists disagree, saying there is no way to link any single weather event to CO2 and global warming.

Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global-warming activists. It was just a matter of time until someone found a way to link Cyclone Nargis and global warming.

There is indeed a stupid tendency for people to now blame everything that happens in weather on global warming and the blame game has reached a level of hysteria

  3. yes, it will affect the migrating routes of the animals there. When an oil spill occurs, and yes it will occur, it will kill thousands upon thousands of animals.

It will also destroy one of the last pristine wilderness of the nation.

  4. I know that the Alaskan Pipeline was supposed to be an ecological catastrophe, but instead turned out to be a boon to the local caribou. They like calving under its warmth.

  5. No it will not affect the wildlife in the arctic in a negative manner, for proof all one has to do is look at the Trans Alaska Pipeline.
